Hi I’m Lucy. I have been quilting since I was a small child at my mothers’ knee. I grew up in the hills of Virginia where we didn’t have much to do, no
television, no electricity half the time, so to keep my four sisters and myself
occupied my mother taught us to sew. She
would thread a needle without a knot and taught us to sew a strait line. I got out of sewing and quilting
for about 16 years while I did in home daycare. While on a vacation back to Virginia
in 2003 and found everyone was still quilting and was bit by the quilting bug. Upon returning home I purchased a hand
quilting frame and began quilting once again. When I quit doing daycare I moved up to a long arm machine and have been
machine quilting since 2006.
